Check out my designs
I’m not a professional designer but I love creating simple assets and designs for social media and other marketing materials. Here are a few of my designs:

Let’s start off with the star of this website: my own logo! It contains my initials in both English (Emily Tran) and Vietnamese (Phuong Tran), as well as the letter “d” for “discoveries”. This is one of the more complex logo designs I’ve done in Illustrator.

Combining simple shapes can create fun results!

When I join Hanover, I have access to Adobe Illustrator, which allows me to create more complex designs. Based on the existing brand guideline, given images and content, I designed creative assets to promote the brand’s presence on social media.

I’m gradually learning more about design. One valuable lesson I had was “less is more”, sometimes simplicity is better than putting too many components in one design.

When I was at Skipli, there wasn’t a brand guideline to follow. I based the design mainly on the brand colour and intuition.

This project was my first attempt at breaking into the design world. I started using Canva since it has many ready-made templates and various components for different design purposes.

I didn’t know much about design concepts and best practices, so the design process was mainly based on templates and feedback from team members.
